Nursiani is involved in various technical support projects for the aluminium smelting industry, including the development and implementation of the Generation 3 Potline Control System (GEN3), standardisation of smelting operation procedures and smelting process improvements. She played a major role in research and development projects for the aluminium smelting industry, such as the deepening the understanding into complex bath chemistry, commonly found in, but not limited to, the Chinese smelters. Her other areas of experience include the characterisation of cathode wear properties and alumina properties and performance characterisation. Nursiani is also in charge of the preparation of training courses, including the Postgraduate Certificate in Light Metals Reduction Technology aimed to deepen the knowledge of people working in the aluminium industry.
