Short Course - an Introductory Training Course

LMRC provides a 2-week concentrated version of introductory programme for those in executive and management positions.  It is designed to give an overview of  fundamentals (Level 1) of the carbon and reduction process along with a more in-depth (Level  2) understanding on selected carbon and reduction topics.  It is therefore suggested that this short course be conducted several months prior to conducting any full Level 1 and 2 courses, so that refinements can be made if necessary.  
 

Managers Workshop

LMRC also runs short workshop sessions that target smelter managerial personal.  Our next 2-day forum for smelter managers and industry experts is scheduled for the 24th - 25th November, 2010 in conjunction with 2010 Post Graduate Certificate Course in Bahrain.   It is designed for managers to come together and discuss the key issues and topics currently affecting the aluminium industry.  This will be done through a mixture of lectures, key note speakers and open dialogue.

Participants will help decide discussion topics prior to the forum.  Topics of interest may include:

• • Heat management 
• • Carbon recovery
• • Energy consumption
